Our Story
When I was young, my father passed away, leaving a void that only deepened as the years went by. Much later in life, while sorting through my mother’s basement, I discovered a book tucked away and forgotten. It contained heartfelt tributes from family, friends, colleagues, and others whose lives he had touched. I spent hours pouring over those words, deeply moved by the stories and memories they shared. For the first time in years, I felt closer to my dad, as though a part of him had come alive again through their words. Yet, I couldn’t help but think: what a tragedy that something so beautiful, so meaningful, was hidden away in a basement rather than being accessible to keep his memory alive.
As I began to share this discovery with others, I realised my experience was far from unique. So many extraordinary lives and inspiring stories are left untold, hidden away in books, drawers, or fading memories, where they could instead inspire and connect us. Walking through the cemetery to visit my father’s grave, I found myself wondering about the people buried around him—their lives, their achievements, and the memories they left behind. What stories would they have shared? What kind of “Tributes” book might they have, and how could it bring their legacies into the light?
This reflection inspired a mission: to preserve and share the stories that define us, ensuring they are celebrated, remembered, and accessible to those who seek comfort and inspiration.
